Most changes can be made by phone or email. Some changes — like updating the equipment you're insuring or changing your address — can affect your premium, so please let us know as soon as possible.
It's not a legal requirement, but it's strongly recommended. The cost of repairing or replacing a scooter, or paying for an injury caused by an accident on the pavement, can be substantial. Many residential parks and care settings now require proof of cover before you can use a scooter on site.
Sometimes — but the limits are often low, and home policies rarely cover damage caused away from the home or while in transit. A specialist policy gives you cover anywhere you take the equipment, plus protection against third-party liability.
Generally, no — our policies cover equipment you own or are buying on finance. If you regularly hire equipment, ask the hire company about their insurance arrangements.
Many of our policies include or offer a breakdown add-on, which provides recovery to a place of repair or back home. Check your schedule to see what's included on your policy.
In most cases, yes. We'll ask a series of questions about your medical history and find an insurer that can offer cover. We don't decline based on conditions alone — we try to find a way to cover everyone.
Our travel policies include cover for mobility equipment up to a stated value, including loss, damage and theft. We can arrange a higher limit for high-value powerchairs on request.
If you take two or more holidays a year, an annual multi-trip policy is usually better value. For a one-off trip, single-trip cover is straightforward and lets us tailor the cover to your specific destination and dates.

You should let us know as soon as reasonably possible after the incident. Reporting late can sometimes affect what's covered, so please don't delay — even if you're not yet sure whether you want to claim.
